MCS’s 50th Anniversary and Exciting New Chapter

As Milpitas Christian School (MCS) celebrates its 50th anniversary, we are thrilled to embark on an exciting new chapter in our history. Guided by prayer and God’s grace, MCS will join forces with The King's Academy (TKA) and Heritage Academy (HA) to form a new school, TKA Elementary. This partnership brings together over a century of Christ-centered education, creating wonderful opportunities for our families, students, and staff. We will continue to uphold our strong values and traditions while expanding our impact.

MCS Elementary Passing the Torch
Starting with the 2025-2026 school year, MCS and HA will partner with TKA to launch a new K-5 elementary school. MCS will conclude its elementary operations at the Birchwood campus at the end of the 2024-2025 school year. The new elementary school will unite students, parents, and staff in a shared commitment to academic excellence and discipleship, carrying forward the impact and memories of MCS elementary.

A New Beginning for MCS Preschool
MCS Preschool will continue to thrive at its current location, potentially under a new name. Although the name may change, the heart of our preschool remains unchanged. We are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of followers of Christ, equipping them spiritually, academically, and socially. As we enter this new chapter, we honor our tradition of exceptional early childhood education while stepping forward as an independent Christian preschool with renewed purpose.

A Divine Blessing
This partnership with TKA and Heritage Academy  is a testament to God’s grace and His plans for us. It allows us to perpetuate our mission with elementary-age students, while ensuring a strong future for our preschool community. We understand this transition may evoke mixed emotions, but rest assured that these decisions have been made with careful consideration for the best interests of our students. As we step into this new chapter, we look forward with optimism and faith, embracing the exciting future ahead. Thank you for your continued support and trust in MCS. We are committed to making this transition as smooth and positive as possible for your family.

  • Why has Milpitas Christian decided to join with TKA and HA?

Milpitas Christian School (MCS) has partnered with The King’s Academy (TKA) and Heritage Academy (HA) to enhance educational offerings and better serve our community. This collaboration is a natural fit, as all schools share a commitment to high-quality, Christ-centered education. The partnership aims to provide a more robust learning environment by integrating resources and aligning with common values. MCS sought this partnership due to financial challenges and reduced enrollment, and the decision to collaborate on a new elementary school was approved by the boards of TKA, MCS, and HA in July 2024, following discussions that began in early 2024. This partnership aligns with MCS’s mission and reflects a long-standing progression of families transitioning to TKA.

These two distinct yet complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God (Genesis 1:26–27)." “I am thrilled to see Milpitas Christian School's vision evolve in such a meaningful way. Our journey began with a small preschool, and it's inspiring to see that legacy continue as MCS partners with The King’s Academy and Heritage Academy. This collaboration not only honors our founding mission but also extends it, ensuring that our commitment to nurturing children in both faith and education remains steadfast. I am particularly excited that our preschool will continue as an independent institution, carrying forward the same love of Jesus and dedication to the gospel that we started with. This new chapter is a testament to how God’s plans unfold beautifully, guiding us to new opportunities while preserving our core values.”

— Judy Morasci, Founder of Milpitas Christian School
“Since 1974, MCS has excelled in equipping children spiritually, academically, physically, and socially to make a positive impact on the world. Partnering with TKA and HA aligns with this mission and continues MCS's vision. Many MCS students have seamlessly transitioned to TKA over the years, demonstrating the strength and continuity of our educational approach. I commend the MCS Board for their decision, which will offer a cohesive educational experience from elementary through high school.”
